Method 1: Flash brew (fast)
Brew hot coffee directly over ice so it cools at once and locks in flavor.
- Use a pour-over or drip setup. Replace about one third of the brewing water with ice in the server.
- Brew a stronger cup than normal. Aim for about 1 part coffee to 12 to 14 parts hot water in total, counting the ice as water.
- Pour hot water over the grounds so the coffee drips onto the ice.
- Stir and serve over fresh ice.
